Welcome to Doncaster Archaeological & Historical Society web site.

This site is designed to give a brief overview of what's on offer here at the society. DAS has a core committee of dedicated archaeologists, historians and experts together with many interested and supportive members. A small amount of fascinating facts about Doncaster have been included here, check some of them out by clicking the 'Local Interest' tab above.

We have enjoyed meeting up in the summer months for a tour around a historic town or similar place of interest, when these trips are aranged the details are posted on the 'Summer Events'page.

During the winter months we hold great monthly talks with guest speakers. We are currently in the process of finalising the speakers so the 'Winter Talks' page is a must see for those of us that enjoy indoor history.

Obviously, the best way to enjoy all the benefits of the society, including our newsletter, is to become a member, further details and rates can be found on our membership page.
